OK ENERGY FIRM was founded by its principal attorney, Deborah R. Thompson. Ms. Thompson’s twenty years of experience in regulatory proceedings include, among other matters, utility rate cases, energy efficiency, resource planning, transmission regulation, contract approval cases, competitive bidding, and rulemakings. Ms. Thompson has extensive experience in the renewable power sector, as well as traditional fossil fuels, and assists clients in energy project development. 

Deborah R. Thompson

Ms. Thompson is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and the University of Tulsa College of Law. Ms. Thompson served as an Oklahoma Assistant Attorney General in its Public Utilities Unit. In addition, she served for a decade as Director of Legal and Business Affairs for Energetix, a power plant development company, and as an attorney of counsel with Vaught & Conner, PLLC. Ms. Thompson was the founding editor of the University of Tulsa College of Law’s Journal of Comparative and International Law and served as its Editor in Chief. She also served as the 2007 Co-Chair for the Electric Marketing Committee for the Environment, Energy and Resources Section of the American Bar Association.
